Refreshing Honey and Apple Cider Vinegar Syrup
In a 3Litre jug, pour 100mL Apple Cider Vinegar then add Friebe’s Quality Table Honey to make up to 300mL. Mix with water
and store in the fridge to drink whenever you need a lift.
Apple and Honey Iced Tea
Steep
4 tea bags in 3 cups of boiling water for 5 minutes then remove teabags. Add 3 cups Apple Juice
and ⅓ cup Friebe’s
Quality Table Honey, stirring until honey dissolves. Pour into large jug and chill in the refrigerator.
Tropical Juice
Quencher
In
small pitcher, combine 3/4 cup orange juice,3/4 cup pineapple juice,1/4 cup fresh lime juice and 1/4 cup Friebe’s Quality Table Honey;
whisk until honey is dissolved. Chill until ready to serve. Just before serving, stir in 2 cups sparkling water.
Yogurt Shake
Combine
1 can (16 oz.) of desired canned fruit in juice, 3 crushed Ice cubes, 1 cup low-fat plain yogurt, 1 banana, and 2
Tbsp Friebe’s Quality Table Honey in blender or food processor until smooth. Pour shake into chilled glasses. Sprinkle
with nutmeg and serve.
Hot Drinks
Honey Hot Chocolate
In
small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup Friebe’s
Quality Table Honey, 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa and 1/2 cup water; mix well. Cook over low heat 5 minutes or
until mixture is slightly thickened. Remove from heat; stir in 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. Set aside until ready
to serve. To serve, stir chocolate mixture into 3 cups hot low-fat milk. Makes 4 servings.
Honey Chai Latte
In
medium saucepan combine 6 whole allspice berries (ground), ½ teaspoon ground cardamom,
6 whole black peppercorns (ground), 2 cinnamon sticks (2 inch pieces), 1 teaspoon ground ginger and 2 ½ cups water. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes. Add 2
teaspoons loose black tea leaves and continue to simmer for 3 minutes. Remove from heat; strain through fine mesh strainer
or cheesecloth into medium bowl. Add 2 tablespoons Friebe’s Quality
Table Honey and stir to dissolve.
Set aside until ready to serve. To serve, stir chai concentrate into 2 cups hot low-fat milk.
Hot Spiced Tea
Combine
4 cups freshly brewed tea, ¼ cup Friebe’s
Quality Table Honey, 4 cinnamon sticks, each 3 inches and 4 whole cloves in medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over
medium heat and continue heating without boiling for 5 minutes. Strain into mugs. Serve hot. Garnish with slices of citrus
fruit.
Mexican Coffee
Combine
4 cups hot espresso-style coffee, ¾ cup half-and-half cream, ⅓ to ½ cup Friebe’s Quality Table Honey,
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa, and 1 tsp ground cinnamon in blender. Blend 1 minute on high. Pour into mugs;
garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings as desired. Hot strong coffee may be substituted.
